Funeral services for Marjorie Wilson Moritz, 94, of Guthrie, Okla., will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at First United Methodist Church of Guthrie. Rev. Terry Martindale, of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Marjorie was born on Aug. 5, 1905, in Seymour, Iowa, to William and Jane Alice Duskin. She died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie.
She married Ernest William Moritz on June 4, 1928, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 1978.
Marjorie was a 75-year member of the First United Methodist Church, Past Worthy Matron of The Order of the Eastern Star, Life Member of The Order of the Eastern Star of Guthrie, Samuel King Chapter of DAR, Chapter AY P.E.O., former member Westway FCE and former member of Volunteer Docent of Oklahoma Territorial Museum.
She is survived by her daughter, Janie Luckinbill; a brother, Adelbert Wilson Duskin; two grandchildren, Rodney Luckinbill and wife Deanna, and Katherine Brueggen and husband Kevin; and five great-grandchildren, Kristena, Michael and Heather Luckinbill, and Kenneth and Troy Brueggen.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
