Imogene Marie Moore
Imogene Marie Moore, 96, of Guthrie, OK, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born December 14, 1920 in Perry, OK, to Hugh and Marie Etta (Flener) Gordon.
Imogene was a lifelong resident of Guthrie. She received her education through the Guthrie Public School System. She was also a member of the First Christian Church.
On June 19, 1937, she and the love of her life, Carl Nathan Moore were united in marriage. With this marriage, two sons were born, Gordon Carl and Hugh Edward.
She and Carl worked in the grocery store business for many years and were very active in the Guthrie community. Imogene loved to travel and she also loved to collect dolls, play cards (her favorite game being poker), and going to casinos occasionally.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; her son, Gordon; her sisters, Elva Sewell, Geraldine Schloptach, and Evelyn Letterman; and her brothers, Earl Gordon, Oral Gordon, and Lynden Gordon.
Imogene is survived by one son, Hugh Edward Gordon and wife, Sydnye and her grandson, Chris. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Summit View Cemetery with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
There will be no visitation but a book will be available to sign Tuesday
until 8:00 P.M.
