Karen Kay Mitchell
(February 8, 1954 - November 30, 2008)
Karen Kay Mitchell, age 54 of Yale, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the Cushing Regional Hospital.
Karen was born on February 8, 1954 in Crescent, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Barbara (Cox) Miller. She grew up in Guthrie and attended school in Guthrie. Karen was a homemaker. She lived in Cushing and Stillwater for a few years before moving to Yale in 2006 to raise her granddaughter. Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren and focused her life on raising her granddaughter. She enjoyed flea markets and carnivals.
Karen is survived by her mother Barbara Joan Miller of Yale, longtime companion Randy Alledredge of Yale, son Russell Mitchell and wife Alycia of Drumright, daughters Donna Kay Mitchell of Yale, Dyanne Rich and husband Allen of Yale, sisters Patricia Richardson and husband Jessie of Yale, Pamela Pollard of Yale, and Billie Heird and husband Randy of Wichita, KS., sister in law Barbara Miller of Guthrie, ex-husband Russell Mitchell of Yale, Grandchildren Preston, Kenton and Jaquelynn Mitchell, Trisha, Erica Tiara, Brandon, Ashlen and Macy Rich and one great grandson Wyatt Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her father Lloyd Miller I, brother Lloyd Melvin Miller II, sister Charlotte Miller.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the First Assembly of God in Yale. Interment will follow at the Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Oklahoma.
