Raymond Howard Miller, 77, passed away January 10, 2008 of heart failure. Raymond was born in Guthrie, OK on December 5, 1930 to Ella (Fowler) and William H. Miller. He was the youngest boy of eight children. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force, where he met his wife, Jerry, while stationed in Newfoundland, Canada. They returned to Guthrie, settled, and raised six children. They were married for 47 years. Following his retirement from Macklanburg-Duncan, OKC, he enjoyed traveling, tinkering with electronics, yard-selling, and above all spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a big-hearted man who lived a humble, simple life. Raymond is preceded in death by loving wife, Geraldine “Jerry” Miller, one son, Howard Lee Miller, and his parents. He is survived by one sister, Opal (Walt) Frick of Washington, his children, Linda (Steven) Varnadore, Billy Ray (Donna) Miller, Charles “Rickey” (Debbie) Miller, Bradley (Shawn) Miller, and youngest daughter Elizabeth “Liz” Miller, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. Visitation will be Sunday 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Monday 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
