Another old time Guthrie citizen has passed to the great beyond. For many years Donald McMartin has been a familiar figure on our streets.
Donald McMartin was born in Johnstown, N. Y., June 5, 1835, died in Guthrie, March 17, 1916, was of Scotch descent, both sides, without a mixture, is lineal descendent of Duncan McMartin, the first surveyor and manufacturer in Tron County, N. Y. Two of his sons are now in business in New York, another is Chief engineer of a prominent railroad and he daughter is now living in New York City. The G. A. R. will have charge of the funeral and interment will be made in Summit View at 3 p.m. Saturday.
