Charles O. McKenzie was born September 6, 1908 in Logan County, to Charles W. and Mary Ann McKenzie. On Feb 2, 1930 he married Anna Evelyn Preston, born Oct 12, 1912 in Missouri. The ceremony was held at the Guthrie Assembly of God Church, performed by Rev. C. O. Haymaker. Orval died May 18, 1939, as a result of tuberculosis of the spine from an on the job injury while employed at the Guthrie Cotton Mill. He is buried in Summit View Cemetery. "Annie" died July 13, 1973 in Phoenix, AZ. They are survived by their children: Charles, Arlon Lee, Mary Lee and Carroll Dewayne McKenzie.
