Lee Martin, 61, passed away June 16, 2011. He was born March 11, 1950 in Russellville, Arkansas to Thomas and Wynona (McNaulty) Martin.
Lee served in the U.S. Army from June 6, 1969 and then in the U.S. Army Reserve until his retirement December 17, 1993. He also served in the Vietnam War from May 1970 to April 1971. He married Elda Roberts on January 26, 1973. He was employed at M-D Building Products for 36 years, retiring in 2009 due to medical issues. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and his favorite thing to say was "You’re just jealous".
Lee is preceded in death by his parents, sister Carolyn Fagan, brother Tommy Martin, grandmother, uncles, and granddaughter Kayla Nicole Martin.
He is survived by his three children, Kimberly Martin of Edmond, Christopher Martin of Stillwater, and Sharon Weiss of Edmond, brother Kenneth Martin of Guthrie seven grandchildren: Melissa Wilson, Megan Wilson, and Victoria "Tori" of Edmond, Cole Martin and Simone Martin of Stillwater, and Kailey Weiss and Kylie Weiss of Edmond, numerous cousins, and aunt.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
