Geoffrey "Geoff" Earl Machtolff, age 42, of Guthrie, OK, passed away on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015. He was born April 12, 1973, to Greg and Marty (Acton) Machtolff in Guthrie.
Geoff attended school at Guthrie High School, Oklahoma State University, and University of Central Oklahoma graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and was a cheerleader at OSU, Stillwater.
He was self employed in the service industry and had his Nursing Administration License.
Geoff enjoyed golf, traveling, and watching movies with his children. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife, and was a friend of Bill W.
Geoff grew up in St Mary Catholic Church where he was a member.
He is survived by his wife Lizabeth (Liza) Castles-Machtolff of the home and his three sons George, John, Sam, and daughter Vivian. Geoff is also survived by his parents Greg and Marty Machtolff of Guthrie, one sister Michael Lemon of Edmond, one brother GT and wife Terry of Bixby, nieces Mallory, Sydney, and Jaci, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents George and Earleen Machtolf and Bion and Betty Acton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 7:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Guthrie.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 28, 2015, at the First Christian Church, Guthrie, with Pastor Shane Barnes officiating with interment to follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM and Friday, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM. The casket will not be open at any time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Mary Catholic School, Machtolff Childrens' Educational Fund, 502 East Warner, Guthrie, OK, 73044.
