Deanna Sue, baby, Nene, mom, Aunt DeAnn, and Ms. Dee are all names we used to describe a woman we love. She was a daughter to Gordon and Wanda Jenkins, and Evalie Kimbro; a sister to Wayne Jenkins, Cheryl Alaniz, and Jayne Shawn; a wife to James Jurina, a mother to 7, a grandmother and friend to many. She was President and CEO of Nene's Knickknacks which consisted of her personal hobbies (the second love of her life). She was given such a beautiful talent that impacted so many around her, even people she never met. She was the crochet queen! She would even top towels and give them away. Making others smile brought so much joy to her life. She loved listening to Elvis and spent most of her time with her 'silver fox' aka her husband James. They had a love that moved everyone around them and it showed everyday of their lives, but even more so the day she was diagnosed with breast cancer.Through this long six-year battle, she has had many miracles come her way as well as many heart breaking moments. Although she has lost her battle with cancer, one thing she never lost was her faith in God! She knew he was in control and she trusted in him. Although Deanna is not here with us today, she is home with Jesus and that calls for a celebration.
Please join with us in celebrating her life.Funeral services for Deanna will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 25, 2017 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Robby Robbins officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Thursday, 12:00 PM-8:00 PM.
