Funeral services for Ruth Mae Jones, 62, of Guthrie, Okla., will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001 at Community Church in Guthrie with Rev. Ronald Jenkins officiating, assisted by Darryle Moore. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery at Guthrie under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Guthrie.
Ruth was born Aug. 12, 1938 at Marshall, Okla., to Claude and Ruby (Miller) Mott. She died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001 at her home.
Ruth had lived in this area all of her life. She retired from Kerr-McGee Oil Company. She was a member of Community Church, in Guthrie and of the Logan County Trail Riders and the Cherokee Territory Wagon Train.
She married W. L. "Bill" Jones on June 13, 1959 in Guthrie.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Jones of the home; her mother, Ruby Mott, Colcord, Okla.; one daughter, Barbara Platt and husband Craig of Coyle, Okla.; one son, Shawn Jones and wife Sharman of Guthrie; one sister, Naomi Howe, Elkhart, Kan.; one brother, Floyd Mott and wife of Colcord; three grandchildren, John and Rebecca Platt and Shayla Ruth Jones.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorials may be made to the Community Church Building Fund.
