John Wesley Jones

John Wesley Jones, 68, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 after losing his battle with cancer. He was born in Maud, OK, raised in Guthrie, OK, and later resided in Oklahoma City, OK. John retired form Seagate.
He was a member of Bethel Assembly of God where he and his wife, Dolores attended. John loved to be with his family, collect coins, and go to antique stores.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Lura Jones; sisters, Betty Canning, Sue McCutchin, Peggy Rogers, and Nancy DuBois; and step-son, Dayton Powers.
John is survived by his wife, Dolores Jones; brother, Billy Ray Jones; step-children, Sandra Lyon and Larry Walker, Michael Roberts, and Aaron and Donna Powers; eleven step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Bethel Assembly of God, Bethany, OK. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday, 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John’s name to the American Cancer Society.
