Harry was born on June 3, 1919 in Guthrie to Harry Lee and Eleanora (Adams) Jones, Sr. He lived his entire 90 years in Logan County. He married Evelyn Silvers on April 26, 1939 and was a loving father to two daughters Margie and Sharon. They were married forty-four years. After losing Evelyn in 1983, Harry found another loving wife in Fern Ritter Jones. Harry was a wonderful and loving husband, daddy, and friend to those he met and worked with.
After working 38 years as a Trackman on the Santa Fe Railroad, he retired to “The Farm” where he shared his zest for life with his family and his animals. Harry spoiled every one of his family members and every animal he ever had. He was a prankster, loved a good joke, loved to laugh, take pictures of others, talk about friends, neighbors, and tell railroad stories.
Harry leaves behind daughters Margie Clark and husband Don and Sharon Burch and husband Merlin; step-sons Gene and Billy Ritter; loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends. Harry thanks all who shared his life and for being a part of this wonderful journey.
He is preceded in death by two wives Evelyn Silvers Jones and Fern Ritter Jones; one brother M.G. Jones; and one sister Gracie Durham.
