Funeral services for Alyssa Paige Johnson, 5, of Guthrie, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. at Guthrie Christian Church. Don Riepe will officiate, and burial will be at Summit View Cemetery.
Alyssa was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of three, and she fought a brave and courageous fight until Dec. 28, 2003.
Alyssa was born March 13, 1998, in Edmond to Paul and Christine Johnson. Alyssa lived in Guthrie all her life where she attended Guthrie Christian Church. She enjoyed attending Sunday school and children's church. Alyssa attended kindergarten at Cotteral Elementary and loved learning. Alyssa always enjoyed spending time with her friends and her loving family. She was cherished and loved by many and will truly be missed.
Alyssa is survived by her parents, Paul and Christine Johnson, grandparents, Darrel and Vernie May Anthis, Paul and Averil Johnson; great-grandparents, Helen Landis, Marge Anthis, Lester Landis; aunts and uncles, Michelle Anthis, Neil and Jennifer Waggoner, Chad and Lori Lute, Johnny and Shannon Lute; and numerous other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Bill Anthis, and great-grandmother, Thyra Johnson.
Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Guthrie.
