Graveside services for Joe Dee Jeter, 85, of Conroe, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Summit View Cemetery, in Guthrie, Okla., under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Guthrie. Dr. Dennis Clark will officiate.
Joe Dee was born Jan. 31, 1915 in Lamesa, Texas. He died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 at Conroe, Texas.
Joe Jeter, Daddy, performed many roles in life, all with distinction and love, IE: Son, Brother, Husband, Father and Grandfather. All he touched in these roles leave a living legacy in the way we conduct our lives. He is, most certainly, in the loving arms of our Father today and protected by grace.
He married Clara Kellogg. They were married 54 years. She preceded him in death Oct. 29, 1988.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one son, Joe Jeter and wife, Diane, of Richardson, Texas; one daughter, Barbara Jeter Clark and husband, Jerold, of Tomball, Texas; one brother, Andrew Jeter of Alabama; one sister, Mattie Gwin of Arizona; grandsons, Joseph Jeter, of Richardson, Texas, Jerold Kent Clark and wife, Sarah, of Great Bend, Kan., Kevin Scott Clark and wife, Ginny, of Laramie, Wyo.; great-granddaughters, Stefanie Clark and Kristen Clark of Great Bend, Kan.
Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
