Donna Carol Hunter, 49, unexpectedly slipped from this life into her Eternal Home December 24, 2011 in Yukon, OK. She was born on April 21, 1962 in Guthrie, OK to Donnie and Carol (Allison) Whisenhunt.
Donna grew up in Guthrie, graduating from Guthrie High School in 1980. She attended UCO and Rose State College. She married Russell Hunter on November 1, 1986 in Guthrie. For a while, she was employed by Tinker Air Force Base in the accounting department, but later remained a homemaker while raising her children.
She had many friends and liked helping others. She loved taking pictures of her family and friends; she enjoyed art and animals, but her greatest joy was her two small grandsons. She lived in Yukon for seventeen years. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Guthrie. She will be greatly missed and loved by all.
Donna is preceded in death by her grandmother Geraldine Allison and grandparents Z.L. and Deborah Whisenhunt.
She is survived by her husband Russell Hunter of the home; three children Bradley Hunter of Norman, OK, Dillon Hunter of Yukon, and Rayna Hunter of Okmulgee, OK; her parents Donnie and Carol Whisenhunt; sister Shelia Zoltowski and husband Marvin; nephew Tyler Zoltowski; niece Brooke Zoltowski; grandfather Orlan Allison all of Guthrie; and grandsons Coby and Chase Hunter of Norman.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 at First Southern Baptist Church, 202 East Noble, Guthrie. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be Wednesday until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
