Van Evans Hudson
Van Evans Hudson, age 65 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away January 22, 2017 in Guthrie. He was born on December 12, 1951 to James and Opal (Evans) Hudson in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Van graduated from El Dorado High School. He attended Trinity Bible College in Ft. Myers, Florida. Van moved to Guthrie in 1995. He was the Pastor at Abell Community Church. Van enjoyed collecting knives and guns. Van especially enjoyed spending time with the grandkids, fishing and mowing with his zero turn mower.
Survivors include his wife Sally of the home in Guthrie, son Josh Hudson and wife Traci of Guthrie, step son Jacob Triplett and wife Alisha of Guthrie, and sister Pam Burson and husband Lewis of Mt. View, AR. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren Naomi and Grace Hudson, Aubrey, Mason, Makenna, Ethan and Eli Triplett. Van was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Doris Hudson, brother Doug Hudson and stepson Matt Triplett.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Abell Community Church with Pastor Rick Barton of Gunnison, Colorado officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at Hayes Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Wednesday at Abell Community Church from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM.
