Bruce Edward Honeycutt, Sr.

Bruce Edward Honeycutt, 91, went home to be with his loving Lord on August 5, 2016 with his wife by his side. He was born June 4, 1925 to Robert and Sarah McLeod Honeycutt in Lead, South Dakota.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Leola. He is also survived by his children: Jenifer Hill of South Bend, Indiana, Eddie Honeycutt and wife Jackey of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Evelyn Robinson and husband Jim of Cashion, Oklahoma, and Lloyd Honeycutt of Edmond, Oklahoma. Also surviving him are 9 grandchildren, Seretta, Sara, Jessica, Shanna, Leslie, Sean, Kyle, Erik, and Brad, along with 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his aunt, Margaret Ann McLeod Lehman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
As a young child, Bruce and his parents moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma. He went to school in Coyle and graduated from Oklahoma A&M in 1948. He was a successful businessman and loved working with his Black Angus cattle. He was an avid fisherman and after retirement loved building fishing rods. He had a love for Oklahoma State University and was an avid O.S.U. sports fan. With all the things he enjoyed in life his greatest joy was his wife, children and his lord.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Edmond Church of Christ, 801 S. Bryant, Edmond Oklahoma, 73034. Burial will follow immediately after the service at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with the family receiving guests from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
