Janice Faye Holmes
Born: October 11, 1940
Died: February 29, 2008

Heaven gained a beautiful angel on February 29th, 2008. Our deep loss is eased knowing her struggles are now over. We thank God for giving us her presence, her love, strength, kind heart, and way of seeing the good in others.

Janice was born October 11th, 1940 in Chesterfield Illinois to Dorothy and William Cox. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and spent most of her life in Arizona. It was a place she truly loved. She spent her time giving and caring for others, asking nothing in return. She was our angel in life as she is now in heaven.

She is preceded by her Husband Jim, Daughter Stephanie, Brother Timothy, and Parents.

She leaves on earth her Daughters and Sons, Kim and Jay Taylor (Millcreek, Oklahoma) Jamie and Terry Long(Guthrie, Oklahoma) Her brother, Bill Cox & Betty (Kingman, Arizona) and Tom Cox & Jan (Granbury, NV) Grandchildren, Chasidy, Ron, Jimmy, Tonya, Denny, Cassie, Wendell, and Jenny. 18 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. Special thanks to mercy hospital staff, mercy hospice, friends and family for their kindness during and after her illness.

Services were held Tuesday March 4th, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel followed by burial at Summit View Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. For our mother we part with this thought until we meet again.

For thee- my own sweet mother- in thy heart I know myself secure- as thou in mine. We were and are- I am- even as though art beings,- who ne’er each other can resign it is the same together or apart- from life’s commencement to its slow decline we are entwined- let death come slow or fast- the tie which bound the first endures the last.
