Quincy Lee Hider was born August 18, 1949 and departed on September 23, 2016.
He was born in Guthrie, OK and has lived in Lake Charles, LA for the past 41 years. He was an active member of the community and retired from Conoco Phillips in Lake Charles. He was also an active member of Ionic #26 PHA of La. Masons, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and St. Paul A.M.E. Church.
Quincy is survived by his sisters - Margaret Hunter of Edmond, OK, Julia Harding of Edmond, OK, and Juanita Roper of Wichita, KS, ex-wife - Emily Shorten Hider of Lake Charles,LA, sons - Brandon (Brandace) Hider of Harvey, LA and Corey (Christine) Hider of Telford, PA, grandchildren - Brady Hider and Bree Hider and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul A.M.E. Church on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Mt Olive Friendship Baptist Church in Guthrie, OK on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Friday, 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
