Funeral services for Barbara Ann Hayes, 71, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012 at First Christian Church with Dr. Dennis Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Barbara was born on November 23, 1940 in Guthrie to William T. and Maudie (Burns) Hirschi. She passed away Monday, July 2, 2012 in Guthrie.
Barbara graduated from Guthrie High School. She married Frederick D. Hayes, Sr. on June 20, 1958 in El Reno, OK. She retired from the Logan County Court Clerk’s office in the late 1980’s after 30 years of service with 10 of those years as Court Clerk. She attended the First Christian Church in Guthrie.
She loved to collect antiques, cook for her family, and spend time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother Maudie Hirschi of Guthrie; husband of 54 years, Fred Hayes of the home; daughter Sandra D. Foshee of Guthrie; son Fred D. Hayes, Jr. of Guthrie; brother Bruce Hirschi of Sanger, TX; sister Emilie Moad of Guthrie; four grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
Barbara is preceded in death by her father William T. Hirschi.
Visitation will be Thursday, 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
