Frances Elizabeth Harvey

Frances Elizabeth Harvey, 52, of Guthrie, OK went to be with the Lord on June 19, 2011 after a short and courageous battle with lung cancer, with her family by her side.
She was born September 19, 1958 in Wichita, KS to Elloise and Otis Jay. She was raised in the Oklahoma surrounding areas and cared for her five siblings whom she loved very much: Randy, Jimmy, Nancy, JoAnn, and Tonya. She married Quin Harvey in Guthrie in 1979. They had two children, Christopher and Holly. Frances, along with her husband Quin and children, ran Quad Lake Tournament for nine years where she enjoyed making memories and spending time with her family.
Frances worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for 30 years. She exemplified love and compassion for everyone whom she touched.
Frances is preceded in death by her father Otis Jay, sister JoAnn Burgett, and grandson Justin "Alex" Wallage.
She is survived by her husband Quin, brothers and sisters, children Christopher and Holly, and grandchildren Jordan and Ethan. Frances will be remembered for her love and commitment to her family and others, her sparkling blue eyes, and her strength and courage.
We are all God’s children and will have eternal life.
Mom, you have always been a blessing in our lives. I will cherish our time spent together singing songs. We shall meet again at the pearly gates.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
