Charlene Faye Harris, 85, of Guthrie, OK passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her home.
She was born on July 23, 1927 in Stonewell, OK, but spent most of her life in Guthrie. She was an active member of the West Guthrie United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She retired from the Masonic Home. She loved to spend time with her family and found great joy in every one of them.
Charlene was married to Leo Ledington on July 13, 1946. They had four children: Richard, Marsha, Michael, and Jacquita. After Leo’s passing, Charlene married Bill Harris on April 3, 1970. They had a daughter, Kalise. Charlene also gained two step-children: Forrest and Jean Ann.
Charlene is survived by her brother Glenn Cox; children Marsha Eastwood and husband Terry, Jacquita Little, and Kalise Pritchett; daughter-in-law Ramona Ledington; step-children Forrest Harris and Jean Anne Harris; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Dora; husbands Leo and Bill; sister Mabel Ruth Wells; sons Richard Ledington and Michael Ledington; and grandson Jason Heck.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at West Guthrie United Methodist Church with Pastor John Punni officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Friends may call at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Monday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Guthrie United Methodist Church, 1201 West Noble Avenue, Guthrie, OK 73044.
