Ramona Jean Hewell

It is with great sadness, the family of Ramona Hewell shares the news of her passing on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, surrounded by her husband and children. She was born in Crescent, Oklahoma on February 10, 1943, to Glen and Jean Rowe.

Ramona was a loving wife of 52 years to Lonnie Hewell. Ramona was the oldest of six children. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Rowe; sister, Glenna Dority; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Hewell.

Ramona leaves behind her husband Lonnie; two children: son, Randy Hewell and wife, Tammy and daughter, Kendra Kuzmic and husband John; grandchildren: Megan Hewell, Tanner Hewell, Madison Kuzmic, Amanda Kuzmic, Emily and Kent Swenson, Ashley and Sean Roach; and her great-grandchildren: Arlye and Natalie. She is also survived by her sisters: Mary Rowe, Pat and husband, Darrell Anglin; Judy and husband, Earl King; brother-in-law, John Blandy Dority and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ramona graduated from Guthrie High School in 1961. She was employed with the Guthrie School System for over 30 years retiring as Guthrie Schools Food Service Director.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Smith Memorial Chapel, located at 220 North 1st Street, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home. Viewing is Sunday, 3:00 P.M.—8:00 P.M.
