Graveside services for Pete will be held at Monday, December 14, 2020 at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie.

James "Pete" R. Gummow, 88, of Iberia, MO -formerly of Guthrie, OK, passed away on Saturday December 5, 2020. He passed away at home with his loving wife at his side. He was born in Guthrie Oklahoma on May 15, 1932 son of the late Elgia V. Gummow and Evelyn Craig. On July 4, 2017 , in Iberia, MO he married Pauline, who survives at the home. James served as a US Marine in Korea and went on the serve in the US Army Special Forces in Viet Nam achieving the rank of Master Sergeant before retiring. After his military career he spent 20 years working for the USPS. He was a lifetime member of the Guthrie VFW, Guthrie Legion. He was also a Mason.

Pete is survived by wife Pauline Gummow, son James R. Gummow, Jr., step-daughters Jacquie Crosthwait and husband David, and Trish Whittle, grandchildren Ashlei, Savannah, Caitlyn, Brittany, and Kyle, great grandchildren Christopher, Isaac, Elijah, "Stonewall" Jackson, Scarlett, great great grand daughter Emberly, nieces Susan Chandler and Cathy Hollen, and many other family and friends..
