Prentis Manford Glover

Prentis M. Glover, Sr., 87, of Guthrie, OK went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2010. Prentis was born November 10, 1922 and was the son of Leon and Estella Glover. He was the 4th oldest of ten children. He was a veteran of WW II, where he served in the U.S. Army. After his service, he met the love of his life, Delois Peoples, and they married April 2, 1949. To this union five children were born in Guthrie.
Prentis is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, parents, sister, two brothers, and a great-grandchild.
He is survived by five children Loretta Luke (John), Prentis Glover, Jr., Marguerite Glover, Latricia Glover, and Pernell Glover (Angie); four sisters Katheroline Corbin, Emma Thomas, Ethel Carter (Johnny), and Ruthel Vaden; two brothers Thurman Glover and Wendall Glover (Rose Lee); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other loved family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 9, 2010 at First Baptist Church on Broad and Springer. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
