Nellie Lou Gleason, 77, passed away June 22, 2008 in Noble, OK. She was born on January 19, 1931 to Roy and Mary Holton in Oklahoma City, OK.
Nellie worked for many years as a nurse at Bill Evans Rest Home in Purcell and Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman. She was a Christian, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband of 11 years, Jim Gleason.
Nellie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Becky Kelley of Arcadia, OK; daughter and son-in-law, Billie and Ronnie Thompson of Noble; brother and sister-in-law, Roy Thomas and Mary Holton of Mississippi; five grandsons, Jackie, Matt, Jason, and Dallas Kelley and Michael Thompson; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie, OK with Larry Breeden of First Southern Baptist Church, Arcadia officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
