Graveside services for Irma Berniece (Holeman) Clark-Garnett, 88, of Guthrie will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2003 at Summit View Cemetery with Dr. Dennis E. Clark of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Guthrie.
Irma was born Feb. 18, 1915 in Topeka, Kan. to William Verden and Pearl (Vinson) Holeman. She died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 where she resided, at Colonial Estates in Guthrie.
Irma was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Guthrie. She attended schools in Abilene, Kan. and moved to Guthrie in 1943. She was married to Wilbur Russell Clark and her second marriage was to A. J. Garnett. She was a homemaker and babysitter to her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Pat (Clark) Purviance and husband Robert, Sr. and Corky (Clark) Storm and husband Dale, all of Guthrie; one son, Don Clark and wife Margie of Guthrie; one daughter-in-law, Betty (Garrett) Clark of Guthrie; grandchildren Rob Purviance, Jr. of Guthrie, Peggy Gibson of Guthrie, Dale Lee Storm, Jr. of Dallas, Teresa Northup of Guthrie, Janie Baum of Guthrie, Russell Storm of Guthrie, Donnie Clark, Jr. of Guthrie, Wayne Clark of Hamilton, Texas and Karen Clark of Guthrie; 15 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, four sisters, Twila Jarman of California, Ethel Arterburn of Oklahoma City, Doris Staley of Edmond and Shirley Muzney of Arkansas; and two brothers, William Holeman of Washington and Gerald Holeman of Oklahoma City.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Wilbur Clark, her second husband A. J. Garnett, one Son, W. R. (Bill) Clark, one brother and one sister.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday until 8 p.m.
