Dolly Ruth Fowler, 86, peacefully passed into the Lord's hands surrounded by her loving family, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS on September 7, 2012. She was born December 29, 1925, in Logan County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Unie Isaac and Cora Fay (Nelson) Clymer.
She was a member of the Church of God.
On March 31, 1946, she married George Lee Fowler in Winfield, KS. He passed away on May 12, 2010.
Survivors include: three children, Steven Allen Fowler and wife Lou, Carol Sue Gisick and husband Tom, and Kathy J. McGillivray and husband Guy, all of Hutchinson, KS; six siblings, Patsy Grimes of Omaha, NE, David Wayne Clymer, Sr., Cora Fay Rains, Margaret Deaton, Jimmy L. Clymer, all of Guthrie, OK, and Gary L. Clymer of Moore, OK; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Anderson and Norma Jean Sullivan and a brother, Elbert D. Clymer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving guests 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or American Diabetes Association, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
