Vernia Mae Eaton
Vernia Mae Eaton, age 80 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away October 14, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on October 6, 1936 in Shannon County, Missouri to Raymond R. and Delphia P. (Warren) Mooney.
Vernia married Ralph Eaton on July 3, 1954 in Bushton, Kansas. She moved to Guthrie from Texas in 1977. She enjoyed singing and sang at the American Legion and Highland Hall.
Survivors include her 4 children, Kevin Eaton and wife Glenda of Lakewood, CO, Belinda Triplett of Guthrie, Curtis Eaton and wife Kim of Guthrie, Tammy Eaton Jeffries of Guthrie, brother Roger Mooney and wife Judy of Guthrie and sister Fern Rhodes Allensworth of Guthrie. She is also survived by sister in law, Linda Mooney, 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph and a brother, Richard Mooney.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Summit View Cemetery with Rev. Gwen Stewart officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
