Funeral services for Jan T. Dixon, 47, of Guthrie will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Guthrie with the Rev. Karen Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Summit View Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie.
She was born Nov. 12, 1955 to D. W. and Juanita Dixon, and departed from this life on June 16, 2003. She was a lifelong resident of Guthrie, graduating from Guthrie High School in 1974. Jan worked for TWG Oil and Gas company and Hertz Rent-a-car doing clerical work. In recent years she worked for the Logan County Election Board.
Survivors include on son, Derek W. East, her parents, D. W. and Juanita DIxon, two brothers, Joe Carmichael and his wife, Sharon, of Flower Mound, Texas and Kevin Dixon and his wife, Eileen, of Guthrie; four nephews, one niece, three great-nieces and two great-nephews.
At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First United Presbyterian Church of Guthrie.
Visitation for family and friends will take place Wednesday until 8 p.m. and Thursday until noon.
