Graveside funeral services for Alvin Leroy Dennis, 75, of Ada, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie, OK with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice of Guthrie officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Alvin was born on December 18, 1934 in Ardmore, OK to Leon Barry and Helen (Collins) Dennis. He passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2010 in Allen, OK.
Alvin married Lunette Norris in November 1959. He was an auditor in the oil industry for many years. He loved flying kites, fly fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed visiting Colorado and south Texas.
He is survived by his wife Lunette of the home; one son Gary Dennis and wife Patrice of Ft. Smith, AR; one grandson Mike Dennis and wife Heidi of Bella Vista, AR; one brother Ronnie Dennis of Bristow, OK; two sisters Sue Brown of Tulsa, OK and Kathy Lloyd and husband Paul of Mustang, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
