Funeral services for W. Franklin Cunningham, 89, of Guthrie, Okla. will be held at Smith Funeral Home Friday, Jan. 19,. 2001 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Troy Withey of Freedom Baptist Church of Stillwater, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, directed by Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie.
Frank was born on April 8, 1911 in Kingfisher, Okla., to William and Gertrude Cunningham. He died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001 at Cole's Rest Haven in Guthrie.
He was married to Ilene Annette Fisher on Sept. 6, 1936 at Kingfisher. He was a member of the Kingfisher Methodist Church, Kingfisher, and the Albert Pike Lodge #162.
He is survived by his children: Gary Cunningham and wife, Elaine, of Mulhall, Patty Madden and husband John, of Arcadia, Okla., Bill Cunningham and wife, Cynthia, Carol Collins, Kenneth Cunningham, and Janice Hill, all of Guthrie; sisters: Doris Baker, of Guthrie, Lucille Doak and husband, Norman, of Wichita, Kan., Kathleen Weach, Wichita, Kan., Shirley Burkhart, Oklahoma City; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ilene Annette on Dec. 8, 1995; and brother, Owen Cunningham.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home, Thursday until 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Research Foundation.
