Glenn Cox

Robert Glenn Cox, 94, left this life to join his Lord, January 15, 2016 in Guthrie, OK. Glenn was born August 27, 1921 to Charles Elmer and Dora Elizabeth (Cooper) Cox.
Glenn graduated from Maud High School in 1939. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. Glenn retired from OG&E as a line foreman in 1983. He was also a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, a 32 Degree Mason, member of the Scottish Rite Temple and served as Lions Club President for 1986 - 1987. He married Marion Bivert on November 29, 1946. They were married for 61 years and during this time, they traveled to all 50 states including Alaska and all the Provinces of Canada.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marion and his sisters, Mabel Ruth Wells and Charlene Faye Harris.
He is survived by his favorite friend, Kathleen Sears; his 5 nieces, Degee Gummow (Billy), Kalise Pritchett (Brad), Marsha Eastwood (Terry), Jackie Heck, Carol Cross (Allen) and 2 nephews, Wade Watson (Joyce) and Jim Wells. Glenn is also survived by a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Summit View Cemetery with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Sunday, 2:00 PM - 8:00 P.M. and Monday, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
