Matthew Chaz Collins

Born: March 15, 1989
Died: January 26, 2012

Funeral services for Matthew “Matt” Chaz Collins, 22, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2012 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Matt was born on March 15, 1989 in Guthrie. He passed away January 26, 2012 in Guthrie.

Matt was baptized in August 2011 at Life Church. He loved going to the gym to work out and always enjoyed swimming. He also loved to hang out with his friends and go to the lake to wake board with his "brothers".

He is survived by his mother Regina Collins of Guthrie; his “adopted family” and mentors Charles and Diane Oliver of Edmond, OK; and his “adopted brothers” Nick Porter and his father Sam Porter, Michael Ekiss, Jason Seaton, Brody Jarnigan, Sean McAtee, Kyle Hamm, Kris King, and Darren Duehning. He is also survived by special friends Jill Warren and Alicia Hall.

Matt is preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Mayes.

THOSE HE TOUCHED WILL MISS HIM; THOSE WHO TOUCHED HIM WILL MISS HIM MORE.

Visitation will be Monday, 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
