Funeral for Retired Farmer Will be Held Monday.
William Boyd Cherry, 75 years old, retired Logan county farmer, died Saturday at his home, 1214 W. Logan av.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the United Presbyterian Church, with Rev. R. T. M. McGill delivering the memorial sermon. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery under the supervision of the Smith Funeral home.
Mr. Cherry had resided in Logan county for the past 25 years. After giving up his work on the farm, he moved to Guthrie. He was a familiar figure downtown, selling newspapers. He stopped selling papers about three years ago because of his health.
Survivors include the widow; Jennie; five children, Ralph, of Fallis; John, of Oklahoma City; Leland of Wichita, Kas; James of St. Louis, Okla.; and two brothers, one sister, 26 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
