Warren Clifton Chappell

Warren Clifton Chappell, age 92 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away January 23, 2016 in Guthrie. He was born on July 24, 1923 in Guthrie to Leslie C. and Mabel (Ford) Chappell.
Warren lived in Guthrie his entire life, he married Lorene Landis in Guthrie on September 27, 1942. Warren retired from Macklanburg-Duncan in 1988. He was a Charter Member of the Guthrie Christian Church. Warren enjoyed woodworking, crafts, raising Canaries and working outside.
Survivors include his 3 children, Cynthia Clark and husband Charles of Guthrie, Clifton Chappell and wife Sara Jane of Edmond, and Randy Chappell and wife Ruth of Guthrie. He is also survived by 3 sisters in law, Eleanor Hoel of Guthrie, Norma Deane Jarnagin of Texas and Barbara Landis of Edmond, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lorene on July 29, 2015, 2 brothers Leslie and Ivan.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at The Guthrie Christian Church with Pastor Don Riepe officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM
