Ethel (Cook) Case was born January 26, 1923, the oldest of fifteen children, passed away at the age of 85 on September 8, 2008 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie, OK.
Ethel was a hair dresser in Guthrie for many years and was a member of Community Church. She raised six children, four sons and two daughters, and was blessed with thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Charles Case. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bill Case of Guthrie, son Richard Case and wife Janice of Oklahoma City, OK, son Jim Case and wife Karen of Guthrie, daughter Pauline Whitaker of Guthrie, son Ronnie Case and wife Jan of Edmond, OK, and daughter Mary Casey and husband Tim of Guthrie. She will be missed by all her family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. At the family’s request, the casket will not be open after the services.
