Funeral services for Garrett Lee Carpenter, 17, of Oklahoma City, OK will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2008 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Reverend Dale DePue officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.
Garrett was born on September 11, 1990 in Oklahoma City to Richard Lee and Kathryn Elaine (Watkins) Carpenter. He died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Oklahoma City.
He is survived by his father, Rick Carpenter of Oklahoma City; mother, Kathy Watkins of San Antonio, TX; grandparents, Charles and Emilie Moad of Guthrie, Ralph and Fran Watkins of San Antonio, TX, and Gary Carpenter of Tulsa, OK; great-grandmother, Maudie Hirschi of Guthrie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Garrett is preceded in death by one grandmother, Doris Carpenter.
Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home on Sunday, 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Logan County Youth and Family Services, P.O. Box 1558, Guthrie, OK 73044.
