Costello Brown
(July 24, 1926 - August 15, 2007)
Costello Brown, age 81, of Cushing, OK, passed away early Wednesday morning, August 15, 2007, at the Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, OK.
Mr. Brown was born on July 24, 1926 in Jennings, OK, the son of Henry L. and Lula (Cole) Brown. He graduated from Stillwater High School, the University of Missouri in Columbia with a degree in Theology and also the Hines School for the Blind in Chicago. He worked in Commercial Construction and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was affiliated with the Children of Benjamin which is a group he started that sent Religious Literature and Bibles all over the World.
Costello is survived by a son, Harold Brown and wife Deidra of Oklahoma City, OK; Sisters, Faye Lula Trice of Langston, OK, Loretta Collier of Tulsa, OK Ruby Jean Brown of San Pablo, CA, Dorothy Joe Parks and husband Marvin of Orange, TX; six grandchildren, Rudy Brown and wife Stacy, Cory Carter, Joy Brown, Myles Brown, Monet Brown, Micah Brown; two great grandchildren, Mason Brown and Marii Brown; a daughter-in-law, Debra Brown; Uncle, Narsell Thompson; Aunt, Rosetta Harper; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Mae Brown, a son, Eric Brown, three sisters, Juanita Thompson, Henrietta Hollins, Oletha Williams and a half-brother, Leo Cruse Brown.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at the Summit View Cemetery at Guthrie, Oklahoma with Rev. Douglas Robinson and Rev. Eugene Knighten officiating. Visitation for Mr. Brown will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday and from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Palmer-Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of the Palmer-Marler Funeral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma.
