Funeral services for Velda Jean Bossart, 75 of Guthrie, Okla., will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at Smith Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dennis Clark officiating. Burial will be in Summit View Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
Jean was born on Oct. 16, 1925, in Guthrie to Henry Clayton and Elsie Fern Harlan. She died Feb. 1, 2001 at Logan Hospital and Medical Center in Guthrie. She was employed with the Guthrie Housing Authority. She was a member of the First Christian Church.
She is survived by one son, Brent Allen Bossart and wife Rhonda of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Vickie Yates and husband by of Deer Park, Texas; two brothers, Marvin Harlan of Guthrie and Jerry Harlan of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Chad Eric Yates, Tyler Barret Yates, Brook Emily Yates, Blair Elise Bossart, Paige Alaine Bossart and Brynn Michelle Bossart.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Glenna Sue Harlan and her parents.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 8 p.m. Friday and until noon on Saturday.
