Funeral services for Betty Maxine Bonny, 91, of Enid, OK, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at First Christian Church, Guthrie, with Dr. Dennis Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Betty was born January 20, 1922 in Independence, KS to Guy and Mildred Vandresser. She passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Enid.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and also was a volunteer with the Grandma Reading Program in Guthrie. Betty was employed at Braums for 10 years and was a great gardener. She loved to be outside.
Betty is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Donald Bonny in 1979, daughter Sharon Becker in 2011, son Gary Bonny in 1994, and her brother, Arthur Vandresser. She is survived by her daughter, Debora Schultz and husband Del, of Enid, her son, Mike Bonny, of Guthrie, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the First Christian Church, 402 East Noble, Guthrie, OK 73044.
