Imogene Biggs, 87, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away at her home in Guthrie on April 28, 2019. Imogene was born October 25, 1931 to Calvin and Edith Moad, the second of six children.
She married Charlie W. Biggs on October 30, 1948 and to this marriage two children were born, Sharon Riebe and Darrell W. Biggs. Imogene and Charlie lived in the Coyle and Guthrie area all of their married life. Along with being a homemaker she worked side by side with Charlie raising cattle and farming in which Charlie is still active today.
Imogene delighted in her family and helped with the care of almost all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered by each of them in a special way. She taught by example more than words.
Imogene was preceded in death by her son, Darrell W. Biggs; her parents, Calvin and Edith Moad; sister, Lois Mae Meeks; and brothers, Franklin Lee Moad and Charles Wayne Moad.
Imogene is survived by her husband, Charlie; daughter, Sharon Riebe and son-in-law, Mike; granddaughters, Jackie Wolfington (Andy), Alison Murray (Elliott), Julie Grauberger (Tim), Jana Wanzer (Kelly) and Nikki Blankenship (Chris); great-grandchildren, Joshua Slocum, Jacob Slocum (Ashleigh), Jillian Slocum, Jarred Slocum, Hali Deubler, Raichyl Huffman, Makenzie Murray, Kayleigh Fox (James), Kristyn Dickson, Kamri Dickson, Dakota Wanzer (Macey),Zane Wanzer, Landon Riebe, Carson Riebe, and C.J. Blankenship; and great-great-granddaughter, Harper Slocum.
Imogene is also survived by her brother, Donald Moad (Jean) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and her sister, Wilma Pyle of Elgin, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Shirley Moad and Emilie Moad, of Guthrie; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 3, 2019 at Smith Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be made in Imogenes name to the American Lung Association of Oklahoma for COPD Research or ALS Research.
