Funeral services for Sadie Armstrong, 86, of Guthrie, Okla., will be held at Smith Memorial Chapel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, With Rev. Bob Walker and Rev. R. L. Stuart of West Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be in Summitt View Cemetery in Guthrie, directed by Smith Funeral Home in Guthrie.
Sadie was born on April 22, 1914 in Smithville, Okla., to Iston and Laura McCoy. She died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 at her home in Guthrie.
She was a life long member of the West Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by four sons, Glen Pugh of Guthrie; Gene Barnes of Oklahoma City; Johnnie Gardner and wife Thelma of Snyder, Texas; Jackie Dumot and wife Tony of Guthrie; three daughters, Mildred Euliss and husband Don of Apache Junction, Ariz.; Vickie Shuffield and husband Jimmie of Edmond; Brenda Sykes and husband Bobby of Guthrie; two sisters, Ellen Allen of Mustang, Okla.; and Lucille Samuels of Guthrie; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester Armstrong; two sisters, Juanita and Della, and one grandson, Joshua.
Friends may call at Smith Funeral Home until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
