The funeral for Jessie Truel Hamiel, 87, will be 10 AM today at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Frank Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in South I00F Cemetery at Marshall. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.

He was born September 21, 1911, in Mulhall to William and Grace Hamiel and died Saturday, August 21, 1999, at Logan Hospital in Guthrie. He joined the Army in August 1942 and was discharged in February 1946. He retired from Veterans Administration, Oklahoma City, and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Guthrie.

On June 3, 1963, he married Beulah Crossfield in Guthrie.

Surviving are two step sons, Buddy Crossfield and Boyd Crossfield, both of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; and three great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother.
