Francis Michael Bostick (Mike Bostick), age 73, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Friday, October 27, 2017, in Oklahoma City. A beloved, successful businessman and philanthropist, Mike was born August 18, 1944, in Enid, to James and Helen (Cassiday) Bostick.
Mike graduated from Marshall High School, and began his career with his father, mother, and brother at Bostick Tank Services in 1957, later forming Bostick Services Corporation in 1999. His success in the oil industry spanned nearly six decades.
He is survived by his son, BJ (Shawna) Bostick; daughter, Shelly (Matthew) Toms; grandchildren, Celia and Emma; brother, Phil; sister, Mary Houska and kindred brother Dan Myers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; devoted sweetheart, Cindy Kyle; his first wife, Linda; and second wife, Susan.
Mike loved socializing, and cared deeply about his family and friends. He made everyone smile with his favorite saying, "It seemed like a good idea at the time!" which often followed his humorous stories.
He will be remembered for his generosity to those around him as well as the community. Over the years, he has provided support to the University of Oklahoma, Crescent Schools, the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma, Autism Oklahoma, Infant Crisis Services, Harold Hamm Diabetes Center, and the OK Aids Care Fund.
Mike was proud to be from Marshall and cared deeply about Oklahoma and its history. He loved OU sports, cars, travel and most of all, his family.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church Of Crescent in Crescent, Oklahoma on November 2, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. Graveside Service will follow at the South Marshall Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may made to the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma, Autism Oklahoma, or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
