Marion Potter The Mulhall Enterprise - Supplemental Friday, March 24, 1899 Submitted by: Debby Cook
Marion Potter, aged 70 years, departed this life at the home of his nephew Friday night, March 17, 1899. He had been a resident of Oklahoma nearly seven years. He was a veteran in the union army, having served three years. The funeral was held at the house on Sunday afternoon, and was conducted by Rev. J.H. Mitchell, an old comrade. Interment took place in the Mulhall cemetery. "Soldier, rest, thy warfare o'er." The family of the nephew, N. Potter, will miss him and his homecoming, and his presence will be missed from the streets of Mulhall. He had retired apparently well, and fell into his last sleep. "Therefore be ye ready, for ye know not the hour."
