Clara Elizabeth Orr

Died: April 04, 2015

Clara Elizabeth (Elliott) Orr, age 90, of Mulhall, Oklahoma passed away April 4, 2015 at her home on the farm South of Mulhall. She was the youngest of four children born to Warren B. Elliott and Ada L. (Scheihing) Elliott on April 4, 1925.

She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1943 and later married William Earl Orr on July 5, 1945. They moved to the family farm South of Mulhall in 1950 where they made their living raising wheat and cattle. She was involved in the farming operation and also enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardening. Clara was a member of two different Canasta clubs where she enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends. She was a member of the Mulhall Christian Church where she helped in the nursery for 40 plus years and was involved with Vacation Bible School and many other activities. Her greatest joy came from having her family close and eagerly anticipated any family function that would bring her children and grandchildren together.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, brothers, Charles Elliott, Marvin Elliott, and her sister Frances (Elliott) Padgham.

She is survived by her children, Philip Orr and wife Denise of Guthrie, OK; Cheryl Major and husband Dale of Orlando, OK; Ricky and wife Clara of Mulhall, OK; six grandchildren: Ginger and John Lijewski, Brandy and Steve Pearce, of Guthrie, OK, Sondra and Phil White of Stillwater, OK, Michael and Paula Major of Ripley, OK, Heather Orr, Mulhall, OK and Matthew and Sheri Orr of Perkins, OK; six great-grandchildren: Philip Lijewski, Breena Lijewski and Blake Pearce of Guthrie, OK, Nolan White, Rhett White of Stillwater, OK, Josie Major of Ripley, OK, and many other loved family members and friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Mulhall Christian Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Mulhall. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie, OK.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mulhall Christian Church.
