In Memory of Walter Luster
Silently our tears are falling,
As above the lifeless day,
We are bowed in sorrow's darkness.
Waiting for the eternal day,
To the lone and silent city,
We have borne him far away.
There to rest beneath the daisies,
'Til we chant the endless lay.
Father, brother, sister
Wipes away the bitter tear,
Look to Christ for peace and comfort,
Turn to Him without one fear.
Far beyond life's troubled morning,
In a fairer land than this.
We shall meet our lost and loved one,
There where all is endless bliss.
Savior, look on earthly sorrow,
Comfort hearts so sadly given,
'Tis they own which Thou has given,
Called from earth to dwell in Heaven.
It is with sorrow that we are called on to chronicle the death of a son of Dr. Luster who lives one mile and a half south of town. The boy was only fourteen years of age and died of spinal fever on May 6th, at six o'clock in the morning, and was buried on May 7th, in the Alfred Cemetery. This family has the heartfelt sympathy of all in this sore affliction, and would that we were able to lift the veil of sorrow and comfort the stricken hearts.
Please Note: It is believed that Walter is buried in this cemetery since Mulhall was formerly known as Alfred. And Roselawn Cemetery is in Mulahll.
