Charles Wesley Gorrell

Charles W. Gorrell, 70, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at home in Mulhall, OK after a four year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Charles was born May 30, 1938 at home, 5 ½ miles west of Mulhall. Charles was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Gorrell. Charles graduated from high school in 1956 and left for the Army in September of the same year and was in the Army until wheat harvest of 1958, when he got discharged early to help his father with harvest. On June 3, 1962, he was united in marriage to Janice L. Andrews. Charles retired from Tinker Field in 1990 and continued to farm and ranch until his death. He enjoyed working with his boys, playing with his grandchildren, teasing his daughter-in-law, and feeding cows with his wife. Charles was a member of the Mulhall United Methodist Church.
Charles is survived by his wife of 46 years Janice of the home; three boys and daughter-in-law Mike Gorrell and wife Sharon, Pat Gorrell, and Casey Gorrell all of Mulhall; and two grandchildren Mickala and Lane Gorrell of Mulhall.
The family would like to thank Dr. Stephen Travis, his nurse Lori Cescher and staff and also Companion Hospice nurses Valerie Leach and Amy Ethridge and Chaplains Gene Owen and Don Riepe for their loving support and care.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mulhall. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Mulhall. Visitation will be held at Smith-Gallo Funeral Home Sunday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
