Glenn Willard Craven
Born: August 06, 1922
Died: December 08, 2010
Glenn Willard Craven, better known as "Pete", age 88, of Guthrie, OK, departed this life on December 8, 2010. He was born at the family home in Mulhall, OK on August 6, 1922, to Joseph William "Bill" and Stella Rose Craven.
Pete was known for his many years of delivering mail on the west side of Guthrie, and later after retirement for enjoying daily "bull" sessions with friends and acquaintances at Miss Carolyn’s Territorial House restaurant. He also thoroughly enjoyed mowing his lawn and those of others who were at times, unable to do so themselves; spending time with his grown children and their families, and quiet evenings and Sundays with his longtime-love and life partner, Doris Dutcher of Guthrie and their pet schnauzer, Casey.
Pete served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a proud member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was also recently honored as a 50-year member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Glenn is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Karen and Von Martin of Edmond, OK; his son, Joseph Glenn Craven of Kansas City, MO; brother Diehl Craven of Guthrie, OK; sister Opal Murphy of Midwest City, OK; granddaughters Kali Clark and Tara Martin of Edmond, OK and Mackenzie Rose Craven of Kansas City, MO and grandson Glenn A. Craven of Kansas City, MO.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Guthrie and Companion Hospice of Guthrie, for the loving care they gave to Glenn in the final days of his life.
